Epoxy Floor Coating in Austin, TX

I needed to have the concrete floor and counter in my small (220 sq ft) south Austin Airbnb to be replaced/renovated with a new stain of roughly the same color as the existing one, that had started to wear away, chipped sealer, etc. Rather than go back to the previous contractor, I decided to call Antonio Medrano; he had left his card listing the types of jobs he does, and saying he did free estimates, in my mailbox. So, I asked him to swing by to take a look at my project so I could meet him and see if he would be interested. He came by the next day, checked out the job, said he could do it, and recommended an epoxy paint that would be durable and could be mixed for desired color. Fast forward, and I am happy to say that Antonio and his primary assistant, Angel, were excellent, right on time, easy to work with and 100% honest and sincere. They did a great job on redoing my concrete floor, which was complicated because I have a wood inlay that had to be taped carefully before the paint went on. They got it done right on schedule, and Antonio came by a couple of times during the week of drying and curing to check up on everything. Then, when the toilet was put back in the suite and started failing to refill the tank, they quickly came by again to take care of it. All in all, I am very happy with the work they did, with attention to detail and my schedule. I will add that the cost was more than I had imagined (and I could have hired others for quite a bit less), but I am glad I went with Medrano’s because of the attitude and ethic of Antonio, and the good quality work of Angel — it was worth it! I’ll post a photo of the finished floor to show the area, the color, and wood inlay Angel has to work around with great detail. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MEDRANO’S PAINTING!

Antonio Medrano's team of 3 just completed repainting the exterior of our c.1930's bungalow. Their work is great! The house is rough to work on with old wood and previous paint that was in bad shape. They spent time scraping the loose paint as well as powerwashing to remove as much as possible. Then they used a good primer extensively to seal down the edges of remaining paint as well as protect. They caulked everywhere to fill joints and cracks. Finally they gave the house a heavy spray or a good brush coat. They even painted the gutters and downspouts which used to match our trim but had faded. It all looks really lovely now. The same 3 men were here every day over a total of 9 days so they always knew what they were doing and where they left off. They were very punctual, worked diligently, consistently & were friendly. Antonio is a good manager and his communication with me was excellent. I also was really impressed with his attention to detail when he first looked at our house. He wanted to paint small areas that I wasn't paying attention to and they look great now. He has a good eye for the overall look as well as evaluating the job at the end. He made sure I was happy with the end result and was ready to fix whatever I pointed out. Antonio really cares about his work and his clients. Finally, the price for all this work was very reasonable. I had 4 painters look at the job and got 3 estimates. I felt like we really got excellent work and results for our investment. I will definitely recommend Medrano's Painting and will hire them again in a minute. Two photos show after scraping began (but some peeling looked almost that bad). After photos include how smooth and well painted the overhang of the roof looks. Now the green fascia visually connects with the underside of the metal roof because they painted the metal too. They did a great job power-washing our deck floor and restaining it. All porch floors and steps were primed to make the paint last longer.

This is a picture of my garage door that was faded and cracking. The paint is still a bit fresh so that’s why it looks a bit uneven. He painted the other garage door on a different day and it’s PERFECT. Absolutely incredible service and artistry! He takes so much pride in his work. He’s professional, responsible, and punctual! I’ll happily share him with any and all of my friends.

I had them repaint a study room where lighting changes a lot during the day. They checked how the paint looked in both natural and artificial light before finishing. One edge near the shelf looked slightly uneven, and they fixed it without needing a reminder twice. There was a short pause for drying, but the final look is smooth. The room feels more balanced now.
